Duke Performances will commemorate the centenary of jazz icon and North Carolina native Thelonious Monk through “MONK@100,” a ten-day event at the Durham Fruit & Produce Company, a 15,000-square-foot warehouse space for the arts in downtown Durham, from Tuesday, October 17 through Thursday, October 26.
MONK@100 is made possible, in part, with support from the Mary Duke Biddle Foundation & the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources. MONK@100 is an official event of the N.C. Arts Council’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
