Smith Warehouse

Located at 114 South Buchanan Boulevard, across from the main entrance to Duke University’s East Campus, Smith Warehouse is home to Duke’s Arts, Culture, and Technology Studios: a state-of-the-art multimedia center where visual artists and composers collaborate to create new forms of art and where faculty from a variety of disciplines create new knowledge in the arts, including digital music, digital graphics, printmaking, artists’ books, photography, painting, drawing, and a variety of new media.

PARKING
For Smith Warehouse, there is parking in the gravel lot behind the building (before Smith Warehouse if coming from Campus Drive; after Smith Warehouse if coming from Buchanan and Main). There is also limited parking available behind the Carr building on East Campus off of Campus Drive after 5 p.m.

-Accessible parking is located on the South side of the building near the entrance
-Accessible entrance is located on the South side of the building.
-Accessible restrooms are located at room 106, 109, 210 and 211.
-Accessible water fountains available near room 202, 217, 243, 126A, 114, 130 and 107.

DIRECTIONS FROM RALEIGH
-Via I-40 West: Merge onto 147 N via Exit 279B toward Durham/Downtown.
-From 147 N take Exit 14 and turn right onto Swift Avenue.
-Turn right onto Main Street.
-Turn left onto Campus Drive.
-At the traffic circle, make a left and follow Campus Drive.
-Take your first right into the parking area and the Carr Lot is the gated lot at the end.

DIRECTIONS FROM CHAPEL HILL
-Via US. 15-501 North: From the US-15/501 Bypass N take the exit for Durham Freeway NC 147 South.
-From 147 S take Exit 14 and turn left onto Swift Avenue.
-Turn right onto Main Street.
-Turn left onto Campus Drive.
-At the traffic circle, make a left and follow Campus Drive.
-Take your first right into the parking area and the Carr Lot is the gated lot at the end.

-Via 1-85 North: Exit onto Durham Freeway NC 147 South.
-From 147 S take Exit 14 and turn left onto Swift Avenue.
