NELSON MUSIC ROOM
This 300-seat recital hall is located on Duke’s East Campus off Main Street in the East Duke Building.
PARKING
Parking is available after 5 p.m. in campus lots located off Buchanan
Blvd. and in spaces along the main entrance to the East Campus.
ACCESSIBILTY PARKING
-Accessible parking located at circle parking area between East Duke and White Lecture Hall.
-Automatic door opener with remote control capability on 2nd floor entrance.
-In addition to accessible restrooms in White Lecture Hall, accessible restrooms are also located in East Duke Building, near room 101.
-Accessible path of travel leading from parking area to side elevator entrance into White Lecture Hall. Accessible pathway into East Duke is available by taking White Lecture Hall elevator to 2nd floor and crossing walkway into East Duke.

DIRECTIONS FROM RALEIGH
-Via I-40 West: Merge onto NC-147 N via Exit 279B toward Durham/Downtown.
-From 147 N take the Swift Avenue Exit turn right onto Swift Avenue.
-At the first light, make a right onto Main Street.
-At the first light on Main Street, make a left into East Campus
(Campus Drive).
-Nelson Music Room is in the first building on your right (East Duke
Building).
-Parking is available along Campus Drive and in areas accessible
from the Buchanan Boulevard entrance.
DIRECTIONS FROM CHAPEL HILL
-From the US-15/501 Bypass N merge onto 147 S via Exit 108B.
-Exit at Swift Avenue and turn left off the exit.
-At the first light, make a right onto Main Street.
-At the first light on Main Street, make a left into East Campus
(Campus Drive).
-Nelson Music Room is in the first building on your right (East Duke
Building).
-Parking is available along Campus Drive and in areas accessible
from the Buchanan Boulevard entrance.
DIRECTIONS VIA I-85 NORTH (WEST OF DURHAM)
-Take I-85 North to the Gregson Street Exit.
-The road merges into Gregson Street continue straight (You will
pass Northgate Mall on your right).
-Continue on Gregson St. for 1-2 miles until you come to Markham
Avenue.
-Turn right on to Markham Avenue and continue down Markham Avenue
until you come to Buchanan Boulevard (approx. 2 blocks).
-Turn left on to Buchanan Boulevard and continue down Buchanan until
you come to Main Street.
-Turn right on to Main Street and drive down Main Street until you
get to the main entrance of Duke University’s East Campus.
-Turn right in to East Campus through the main entrance (Campus Drive).
-Nelson Music Room is in the first building on your right (East Duke
Building).
-Parking is available along Campus Drive and in areas accessible
from the Buchanan Boulevard entrance.
