The Nelson Music Room is an intimate, acoustically pristine recital hall with seating that can be configured in the round. This 300-seat recital hall is located on Duke's East Campus off Main Street in the East Duke Building.

Directions 

From Chapel Hill via Hwy 15-501

-From the US-15/501 Bypass N merge onto 147 S via Exit 108B.

-Exit at Swift Avenue (Exit 14) and turn left off the exit.

-At the first light, make a right onto Main Street.

-At the first light on Main Street, make a left into East Campus (Campus Drive).

-Nelson Music Room is in the first building on your right (East Duke Building).

-Parking is available along Campus Drive and in areas accessible from the Buchanan Boulevard entrance.



From Raleigh, Cary and points East

-Via I-40 West: Merge onto NC-147 N via Exit 279B toward Durham/Downtown.

-From 147 N take the Swift Avenue Exit (Exit 14), turn right onto Swift Avenue.

-At the first light, make a right onto Main Street.

-At the first light on Main Street, make a left into East Campus (Campus Drive).

-Nelson Music Room is in the first building on your right (East Duke Building).

-Parking is available along Campus Drive and in areas accessible from the Buchanan Boulevard entrance.

From Greensboro, Burlington and points West

-Take I-85 North to the Gregson Street Exit, passing Northgate Mall on your right.
 Continue for 2 miles.
-Turn right onto Markham Avenue.
-In 2 blocks, turn left on to Buchanan Boulevard.
-Turn right on to Main Street, then turn right into East Campus through the main entrance (Campus Drive).

-Nelson Music Room is located within the first building on your right (East Duke Building).

-Parking is available along Campus Drive and in areas accessible from the Buchanan Boulevard entrance.



From points North via I-85

-Merge onto I-85 S

-Take exit 176 for US-501 N/Duke St toward Gregson St/Northgate

-Turn left at N Duke St
-Continue onto N Gregson St

-Turn right at W Main St

-Turn right at Campus Dr

-Nelson Music Room is in the first building on your right (East Duke Building).

-Accessible path of travel leading from parking area to side elevator entrance into White Lecture Hall. Accessible pathway into East Duke is available by taking White Lecture Hall elevator to 2nd floor and crossing walkway into East Duke.
