The Goldsboro-based Malpass Brothers are part of a country gospel tradition that extends back to Johnny Cash, the Louvin Brothers, and Hank Williams. The Malpass Brothers Band features brother Christopher (vocal/guitar) – currently on tour with Merle Haggard’s fine band – and brother Taylor (mandolin/guitar), with father Chris (upright bass). The trio mixes white-hot musical virtuosity with the cool fervor of sanctified song.
