The Ciompi Quartet, Duke’s resident string quartet are Eric Pritchard (violin), Hsiao-Mei Ku (violin), Jonathan Bagg (viola), Fred Raimi (cello). The New York Times recently praised the ensemble—at Duke since 1965—for their “genuine warmth of expression” and “effortless sense of coordination.” During the summer season at Duke, the Quartet offers two concerts with special guests in the Garden’s intimate Kirby Horton Hall.
