Duke Performances

The inimitable master of the double bass Edgar Meyer will play recordings of music that influences, interests, and inspires him. This Listening Session is a chance to get an intimate look at a superb musician. Meyer may not select any recordings that relate to his performance at Duke, but everything he selects will reveal more about who he as an artist.

Please note that Edgar Meyer will not be performing. He will play recordings of music—other artists' or his own—and will discuss why he selected those recordings. The Listening Session will also give audience members the opportunity to ask Meyer questions.
